This Wednesday’s Boss feature is no other than Ciara Williams. Unlike the previous women that have been featured, Ciara is not a Delaware resident. But just like the other women that have been featured, Ciara has been doing her thing. So, lets find out who Ms. Williams is.
OBWG: Who is Ciara Williams?
Ciara: Ciara is a mother first. A daughter, friend, and esthetician. Lover of life & beauty. Analog girl in a digital world (shout out to Erykah Badu) lol. I’m a real Libra to my soul, a balancing act! I’m as chill as I am a party girl. I’m as serious as I am passionate about my business. Lastly, a perfect combination between Claire Huxtable & a City Girl 🤣🤣🤣!
OBWG: What inspired you to become an Esthetician?
Ciara: To be honest, I never thought I would be an esthetician. I’ve always loved beauty, hair and makeup since I was a child…I followed through and enrolled in cosmetology school, graduated, went to school for Esthetics (cried daily for the first week because I was so bored),worked in the cosmetology field and then received an opportunity to teach while in teachers training…but as life would have it, they put me in the Esthetics class
that kind of sparked my interest a little more because I had to dig deeper at that point.
OBWG: What are somethings you specialize in?
Ciara: Waxing is my number one specialty but I’m an overall skincare therapist. I don’t just want to remove your hair, I want to take care of your skin before and after!
OBWG: What are some of the challenges of being a mom and a boss?
Ciara: TIME MANAGEMENT!! I’m in a better position now because my son is older and doesn’t require as much attention but I still want to be at home to cook for him, take him out on the weekends and be there for every school meeting!
OBWG: What are some of the advantages?
Ciara: The fact that I can pretty much make my own schedule. If something comes up with my son, my clients have been understanding and I try to show my appreciation for that!
OBWG: What are some tips you can give women that want radiant looking skin?
Ciara: Drink your water! See an experienced esthetician so you can know your skin type and how to care for it!
OBWG: For someone that is on a budget, but wants to invest in some skincare products, what are some product key ingredients to look for and or to avoid?
Ciara: Whew! That is a hard one for me. Truly, skincare is something you want to include in your budget. I can’t say there’s a specific ingredient that everyone will need because skincare isn’t one size fits all (or most). BUT if I had to name 3 things that basically everyone could benefits from it would be products with Vitamin C, Green Tea…these are great antioxidants and help fight environmental damage that we all face & Hyaluronic Acid….this is great for moisturizing the skin. On the flip side, there are quite a few ingredients to avoid but the top two that you’ll see often in skincare are Parabens & Artificial Fragrances. Both have been linked to cancer! This is again why finding a respectable, knowledgeable and trustworthy esthetician is SUPER IMPORTANT!
OBWG: What are some ways you stay informed on things in your Indus to ensure, your clients are receiving the top care?
Ciara: I’m always looking for new ways to evolve my business and to give my clients the best experience they can ask for.
9. Who is someone that inspires you and why? Anybody who is out here working and being real about life lol. I can’t say people I follow on Instagram or any Hollywood celebrity because I don’t know them, I only know what they show (and I don’t really keep up with that)…but see the people that I know and come in contact with that I SEE doing the work while life is happening, the ones who i know are living normally correct, the people that leave me wondering “how the hell do you manage life so well?”…oh THOSE are the people that inspire me to keep going, to keep living & to keep loving. -C.
