A child educated only at school is an uneducated child. There is never a right or wrong time to start talking to your children about race. In doing so, it is important to come from a place of love since so much of the world is still holding on to division and hate. If you are not sure as to how to spark the conversation surrounding race, books are always a great place to start. I have created a library list of books that would be good in any child’s collection regardless of his or her skin tone.
It is important that we all understand the importance of choosing love versus choosing hate.
